  TBC strengthen relationship with Thai embassy in Kuwait
 

Recently, Thai Business Council (TBC) – Dubai and Northern Emirates joins hand with Thailand’s International Trade Training Institute (ITTI), Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce to hold a special seminar on “Arab the market of new opportunities” at the institute’s meeting room. The event is presided over by Chief of the Office of the Commerce Minister Mr. Wittayakorn Maneenetr who also gives a welcome speech to more than 200 participants at the seminar. Read More

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai recently inaugurated the latest edition of the Arabian Travel Market – the largest travel and tourism show in the Middle East, accompanied by dignitaries.    TBC joins Thai bank to hold a special seminar
 

 Thailand Business Council Dubai and the Northern Emirates of UAE is now collaborating with Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank of Thailand (SME Bank) to hold a special seminar on topic “Explore the Arab world, the treasure of Middle East.” TBC’s chairman Mr. Chalermpol Hoonpongsimanont will preside over the event as keynote speaker along with SME Bank’s managing director Mr. Soros Sakornvisava. Joining the event are also TBC’s public relation director Mr. Akawut Tangsilikusolwong, Thailand’s Department of International Trade Promotion fashion product director Mr. Wittayakorn Maneenet, successful Thai entrepreneurs in Dubai and SME Bank’s directors.

  Thailand seeks to bolster trade ties with the UAE

Thailand is pulling out all the stops at this year’s Global Village Fair in Dubai, in a bid to lure and attract the show goers to sample its wide array of authentic products that are being showcased at the country’s pavilion.

The move also aims at bolstering bilateral investment and partnership with the UAE, with which it has long enjoyed close relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1975. The Southeast Asian country has two diplomatic missions in the Emirates, with the main Royal Thai Embassy located in Abu Dhabi and the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Dubai. Read More

  Thai SMEs generate 3.75 trillion baht for the economy
 

TBC was officially founded and endorsed by Dubai Chamber of Commerce since mid of 2011, to act as a commercial bridge for Thailand’s Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). There are close to three million SMEs in Thailand, making up 99.6 per cent of total businesses and generating over 3.75 trillion baht for the economy. Read More

  Floods affect international rice supplies
 

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) has already expressed concern about international rice exports, saying that trade in 2012 could fall significantly, driven by lower rice exports from the flood-hit country. Much of international rice supplies come mainly from Thailand and India. Read More
